Once the total number\u00a0of spell slot levels you have expended equals or exceeds a\u00a0seal\u2019s threshold, as listed in the Nine Seals table, the seal\u00a0breaks and you gain access to a new feature until you finish\u00a0a long rest. When you gain or recover a spell slot, your seal\u00a0threshold total is reduced by an amount equal to the level\u00a0of the spell slot recovered, possibly repairing the seals.\r\nCertain seals have minimum sorcerer level requirements, as\u00a0listed in the table.\r\nWhen you gain the Font of Magic feature at 2nd level, any\u00a0sorcery points spent cause the seals binding you to crack an\u00a0amount equal to the sorcery points spent.\r\n\r\n[h3]Voice from the Darkness[\/h3]\r\nStarting at 6th level, you can choose to allow any creature\u00a0that speaks a language to understand your speech.\r\n\r\n[h3]Eyes of Ink[\/h3]\r\nAt 14th level, you can see clearly through magical darkness,\u00a0and you can treat dim light and darkness as bright light.\r\n\r\n[h3]Immortal Cage[\/h3]\r\nAt 18th level if you die you return to life, fully restored,\u00a0at your place of death\u00a0after 100 years.\r\n","tabledata":"Seal Threshold|Minimum Sorcerer Level|Seal and Effect\r\n2|1st|[b]The First Seal of Hunger:[\/b] You refuse to die easily. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can immediately move up to 30 feet and make a melee spell attack targeting a hostile creature that deals 4d10 force damage on a hit. If you hit, you regain hit points equal to your sorcerer level. You can\u2019t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.\r\n6|3rd|[b]The Second Seal of Spite:[\/b] Your cruel power flares through the cracks in your seals. When you damage a hostile creature with a cantrip, it takes necrotic damage equal to your spellcasting modifier.\r\n12|3rd|[b]The Third Seal of Control:[\/b] You move your prison like a puppet. Your maximum jumping height and distance triple, though are still constrained by your speed. You can use your Charisma modifier in place of your Strength modifier for attack and damage rolls with melee weapons, and you gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws.\r\n25|6th|[b]The Fourth Seal of Fury:[\/b] Your prison\u2019s flesh warps and distorts, sprouting fangs, horns, and claws that are natural weapons you can use to make melee weapon attacks that deal 1d10 magical piercing damage. When you cast a cantrip, you can use your bonus action to make a single melee weapon attack.\r\n35|6th|[b]The Fifth Seal of Fervor:[\/b] Your otherworldly resilience protects your prison from death. Choose one damage type. You gain resistance to damage of that type. You can choose a different damage type each time you break this seal.\r\n44|6th|[b]The Sixth Seal of Suffering:[\/b] When you make a melee attack or melee spell attack, you can expend 1 sorcery point to gain advantage on that attack roll.\r\n53|6th|[b]The Seventh Seal of Betrayal:[\/b] When you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher that effects more than one hostile creature, choose one of those creatures. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your sorcerer spell save DC. If it fails, it is [i]frightened[\/i] of one other target of the spell (your choice) for the spell\u2019s duration.\r\n69|6th|[b]The Eighth Seal of Corruption:[\/b] When you fail a saving throw, you can expend 1 sorcery point to cause each hostile creature within 10 feet of you to take 2d10 necrotic damage.\r\n80|17th|[b]The Ninth Seal of Defiance:[\/b] You can cast spells of 1st level with a casting time of 1 action without using a spell slot.\r\n100|20th|[b]The Unspoken Seal of Death:[\/b] When you\u2019ve broken the ninth seal and draw upon your power to this degree, your mortal shell breaks apart. You transform into a creature of your choosing with a CR of 20 or lower. You can\u2019t use lair actions, legendary actions, or spellcasting granted by your new form, but you retain all class features while in this new form and can cast spells normally.
