Start Here — Your First Night
Your first steps after acceptance.
Welcome to High Guard: an ANZ-led gaming community with real life first. Join fast. Master later. You can try a supported first session without learning lore, choosing a permanent role or proving your experience.
1 · Pick what you enjoy
Choose one of our four games: Elite Dangerous, Dune: Awakening, Helldivers 2 or Nebulous: Fleet Command. Prefer logistics, exploration, building, teamwork or combat? Say so. Not sure yet? Get help choosing.
2 · Say hello
Use Join the Discord and introduce yourself in #visitor-lobby. Tell us your game, platform, time zone, available time and whether this is your first session. Share only what you are comfortable making public.
3 · Confirm a first session
Ask for a beginner-friendly activity. The organiser confirms the time, time zone, requirements and correct session channel. Do not rely on an old screenshot or an unconfirmed calendar entry.
Use the short preparation checklist. You can listen first, ask questions and take a break when you need to.
After your first night
Thank the crew, share one useful lesson and say whether you would like another session. Ask about the current membership process in Discord; attending a session does not silently grant private access.
