Public Code of Conduct
The standards that keep the crew worth coming back to.
Purpose
The High Guard exists to give science-fiction players a dependable community in which to explore, cooperate, learn, and enjoy good company across more than one game.
Our Standards
- Respect the person behind the player. Harassment, bigotry, bullying, and deliberate humiliation are not part of our culture.
- Help the crew. Share knowledge, welcome reasonable questions, and avoid turning expertise into a private throne.
- Play honestly. Follow the rules of each game and do not endanger the guild through cheating, exploits, or abusive conduct.
- Communicate clearly. If you accept a responsibility, keep others informed when circumstances change.
- Leave room for real life. Games are important to us because people are important to us; family, health, and work come first.
Conflict and Moderation
Disagreements should be handled calmly and privately where possible. Serious or repeated problems should be brought to guild leadership with enough information to act fairly. Leadership may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove members when required to protect the community.
The Short Version
Be useful. Be decent. Do not make the crew regret opening comms.
