The ring allows the wearer to call upon the spirits of those with a debt to Obzedat, the Orzhov Ghost Council.
The wearer has a pool of "Debt Points" equal to 10 * their proficiency bonus. Up to half of the wearer's Debt Points are replenished after taking a short rest. All Debt Points are replenished after taking a long rest.
Servitude
Servitude allows the wearer to call upon the spirits of those with a debt to the Obzedat, the Orzhov Ghost Council. Servitude can be activated as a bonus action and has no duration.
As a bonus action, the wearer can spend any number of Debt Points to summon indentured spirits of the types listed below to do their bidding. Spirits summoned this way obey the wearer's commands and can be dismissed as a free action.
When Debt Points are replenished after taking a short rest, points are not replenished for any spirits that remain under the wearer's control.
Dominance
Debt Points may also be used to banish ghosts and other undead spirits or to prevent them from taking harmful actions against you.
Protection
As an action, you can target any number of undead spirits and spend Debt Points equal their total CR. The targeted spirits must make a DC 15 Willpower Saving Throw, if a spirit owes a debt to the Orzhov, it automatically fails. On a failure, the spirit is unable to attack you and you are immune to any spells or other effects of the creature. This protection lasts until you take a long or short rest.
You may also invoke this protection against a single spirit as a reaction when it attempts to harm you.
Banishment
As an action, you can attempt to banish any number of undead spirits by spending Debt Points equal to double their total CR. The targeted spirits must make a DC 15 Willpower Saving Throw, if a spirit owes a debt to the Orzhov, it automatically fails. On a failure, the spirit is banished, it immediately teleports to a location of it's choosing that it is familiar with that is at least 1,000 ft. from your location. It may not come within 1,000 ft. of your location at the time of its banishment until you take a long or short rest.
